Stevie Ray Vaughan Austin Opera House Austin, Tx 04-15-84 I would call this "Mr. Cool Himself" if I was a boot title creator. That is what Stevie says when Jimmy is joing him on stage. This is truly a must have show with a great setlist and a special bonus of Jimmy Vaughan joining in on a few tracks. The intro to Texas Flood is beyond mind blowning, just incredible pickin'. It's truly priceless!!!!! I downloaded these FLAC files from Wolfgangs Vault. They are 100% lossless and really a major upgrade to any lossy bitrate version circulated. I have tested this vs other versions I have recieved and all versions I had were lossy. Scuttle Buttin Another Classic from the DUBWISE GARAGE COLLECTION www.dubwisegaragecolleciton.com From wolfgangs vault: Backed by the simple two man rhythm section dubbed Double Trouble (bassist Tommy Shannon had previously backed another Texas blues master, Johnny Winter) Vaughan plays with fire and intensity throughout this show. Original hits like "Pride & Joy" and "Cold Shot" are here, as are a number of classic blues instrumentals, such as "Testify," which he uses to both open and close the show. But the real highlight of the set is Vaughan's blistering read of Jimi Hendrix's blues-rock classic, "Voodoo Chile," which Vaughan plays with an intensity nearly as powerful as the Hendrix original. You won't even care that the first verse's vocals are missing (the sound engineer forgot to turn up Vaughan's vocal mic until he went to the chorus of the song); Vaughan's guitar sings loud enough. As one would expect, another sure highlight is the two song combo featuring Vaughan'ss older brother, Jimmy, of The Fabulous Thunderbirds fame. Rock was in the blood for these boys, and the brothers, with help from Double Trouble, show the audience how Texas truly plays the blues. A must for blues and rock fans anywhere. 001-Testify.flac:001e2cf718a2636147609489e0a55631 002-Voodoo Child (Slight Return).flac:300481d2b939ea6d499902320404ae91 003-Honey Bee.flac:5565bed6a01c9390ab5f735eea4c73b7 004-Mary Had A Little Lamb.flac:834469bdb2f34d65cf69c7b426bf3b89 005-Tin Pan Alley.flac:35ca062b9ec3d064c9ec1d0233ca9aef 006-Pride And Joy.flac:0c694456c8b65531b4bce9cdf0633dd3 007-Texas Flood.flac:d23d05fb4669fdfc2fb75197cd7e3444 008-Band Introduction.flac:5ef43e94401aee8f1ed40d59f221cfa2 009-Cold Shot.flac:87630e2aee2a12d5f280c6fdcbb0e96c 010-The Things (That) I Used To Do.flac:f93386a54b483c86cee1573871928366 011-Couldn't Stand The Weather.flac:a3068ce906cff4eb9826b5c1015ec720 012-Stang's Swang.flac:903fe3bd2d944e40570507feeca9853e 013-Testify.flac:198119e781e1c547010759d64c53563c 014-Band Introduction.flac:cb08a09dcc92b2ba3e79b58019557329 015-Rude Mood.flac:cd5ef5512df8208b8c391570a8a6b1ca 016-Scuttle Buttin'.flac:923c8aba3a18dfa1d3355f075c15d9ec No errors occured.
